PELEE ISLAND TOURS...

Pelee Island Excursion

1-night/2 days
spring/summer/fall

Pelee Island, the southernmost territory of Canada, is situated just above the Canadian-American border. The climate on this island boasts the highest heat units in Canada, and the longest frost-free season in Ontario. Almost one third of the plant diversity of all of Ontario is represented on Pelee Island. On Pelee you will also find rare insects, snails, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. The island chain which Pelee is part of is known for the inordinate number of endangered species that make this oasis of green their home. Pelee beckons with a leisurely pace, quiet country roads, pristine beaches and more. This overnight package, which could easily be stretched to two or three nights, combines the best of Pelee Island with a taste of the only major Canadian city that is directly south of a major U.S. city. Included are historic landmarks, winery tours and tastings, groomed gardens, natural areas and, of course, international cuisine.
