The Quilts from East Africa

There is a fantastic display of East African (Kenyan) quilts coming to South-western Ontario.

These quilts are perfect examples of the “threads that weave us together” and they are part of a truly unique exhibit which will include;

• lectures on the history of east African quilting by Kenyan quilters
• presentations by Kenyan quilters
• Kenyan quilt display
• demonstrations
• a merchants mall
• a tea room

The Quilts from East Africa will be in Ontario from October 20th to October 25th, 2008 and this will be their only visit to this continent.

This show, and the activities mentioned above, would be an unbelievable outing for anyone interested in the quilter’s art and how it relates to Kenya and the eastern half of the African continent.

Ontario's Fun Connection has been working with the show organizers and we have put together wonderful day and overnight tours, featuring a day at the show, accommodation (if required) step on guides, meals and side trips that will provide you with an unforgettable quilting tour experience

Groups are already coming to the show from all over Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and New York State and there is still time to book your group.
